Commercial Strategy
In many situations I assist with development of wider commercial strategy. Whether with a client on their own, or with a team, I can assist with reducing risk and legal liabilities, improving the outcome from a commercial opportunity, and resolving or avoiding conflict in commercial settings.
Negotiation
I have wide commercial experience that translates into effective negotiation and the realisation of workable solutions in commercial disputes.
I am recognised as thorough and capable of producing high quality commercial documents, fully and finally settling contentious matters.
Arbitration
I am a Fellow of the Arbitrators' and Mediators' Institute of New Zealand. My experience includes appointment as an arbitrator to resolve disputes between a large client and their leading legal advisor. I also have experience in major construction disputes under, among others, FIDIC, NZIA, NZMB, and NZS 3910 agreements. I am available for appointment as an arbitrator in New Zealand and overseas.
Mediation
My commercial and negotiation experience support my skills as a mediator. I am effective at building trust and rapport with stressed disputing parties with different backgrounds.
