I practice as a barrister, arbitrator and mediator with a focus on effective dispute resolution through negotiation, mediation, arbitration, and litigation.  I try to prepare my clients for the dispute resolution process by obtaining an understanding of the facts, testing those facts, explaining the processes available and then working to achieve a positive outcome.

I have wide experience in commercial and civil cases.  This includes cases about breach of contract; company and shareholder disputes; directors' and trustees' duties, personal insolvency, copyright infringement; building and construction; insurance; intellectual property; judicial review; relationship property; estates and trusts, tax administration, and trade practices.  For selected long term clients I am also a trusted advisor and manage the appointment of other specialist lawyers for particular transactions and assignments.

I enjoy being well organised and have a personal interest in the use of technology to simplify or improve the dispute resolution process.  I also have a expertise in mathematics and financial economic analysis as a result of long standing interests and experience.
